What happens if I don't wear one?

You may be refused entry to shops and public transport for not wearing a mask or face covering. From July 24th, police have the power to fine you £100 if you break the new law.

Who is exempt?

Children under 11 don't have to wear face masks, neither do police, public transport and shop staff, emergency responders or people relied upon for lip reading.

People with certain medical conditions are also exempt if you think this could apply to you, please check the NHS website.
