In solidarity with @girlsnightinsheffield, our usual Wednesday event will not be taking place on the 27th Oct. Spiking should not be a worry to anyone but unfortunately this is not the case. WHAT TO LOOK FOR: Some spiked drinks may have the following characteristics. *Sinking Ice *Excessive bubbles *Cloudy appearance * A change in colour SPIKING SYMPTOMS Symptoms may vary but warning signs can include the following: *Lowered inhibitions *Loss of balance *Feeling sleepy *Visual problems *Confusion *Nausea *Vomiting *Unconsciousness KEEPING SAFE *Never accept a drink from a stranger or someone you do not trust implicitly. *Do not drink something that you haven't seen opened or poured. *If in any doubt, do not drink it. *Stick together with friends and keep an eye out for them. SOYO has always taken the safety of our customers seriously. SOYO operates a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards any form of drink spiking. The police and all other venues will be notified if this occurs. CCTV covers all areas of the venue. The security company we use train their staff regularly to spot vulnerable customers that may have been the victim of spiking. Our bar staff are also trained to to identify if a customers behaviour seems to be unusual. Please ask for your drink to be covered at the bar should you require. If you suspect that a person has tampered with someones drink, report this immediately to a member of bar or security. Please be vigilant and report anything suspicious immediately.
