π Today we unveiled a brand new installation for the front of the Millennium Gallery! π This bright, playful new collage by local artist, Andy Welland is part of his ongoing 'Loose Ends' series. The piece remixes shapes, and forms that draw inspiration from local wildflowers, nature and our colliding cultures and energies into an abstract celebration of colour! Andy designed the piece to evolving with the changing light and seasons and was influenced by the work of Bridget Riley and Lubna Chowdhary, as well as the abstract art collection that you can see in the Graves Gallery. π Thanks to Signs Express Sheffield and Rotherham for your help bringing this to life! π Find out more here: https://www.sheffieldmuseums.org.uk/whats-on/loose-ends-319-by-andy-welland-millennium-gallery-window/
