📢 "Westminster didn't fix anything for us. We demanded the right to do more for ourselves." @AndyBurnhamGM speaks on the power of devolution and the future of the North of England at Festival of Debate 2025, with @MetroMayorSteve.
T H A N K Y O U ‼️ Crossed Wires 2025 was packed with ‘you had to be there’ moments; an on-stage wedding proposal, a world first Python performance and a Jordan North strip tease. It’s only year two, but Crossed Wires is now officially the biggest podcast festival in the world. So it’s time for some thank-yous! Most importantly to YOU. Over 20,000 of you joined us in Sheffield to laugh, drink and dance the weekend away. We even had visitors travelling over from as far away as the USA and Brazil! You’re helping us build a completely one-of-a-kind event that is inclusive, diverse and most importantly - SO MUCH FUN! Sheffield was shaking with energy and good vibes this weekend. We also want to thank our partners at @bbcsounds and @audible_uk, who helped us bring our venues to life. To see a disused department store, buzzing with thousands of people watching live recordings and coming to our after-parties was just incredible. Thank you to all the hugely talented podcasters that joined us in 2025. The talent we had in the city for the weekend and the effort they put into their shows was amazing. From cricket to Corrie, from food to football - they had it all covered. We even had a live podcast recording with barbers giving their guests a fade! And finally to the city of Sheffield and the enthusiasm of SYMCA and Sheffield City Council who made this happen. This is such a special place to put on a festival. We couldn’t have done it without them. We’re already working on making Crossed Wires 2026 even bigger and better! To be the first to find out who’s joining us, sign up to our mailing list at crossedwires.live See you next year!
