Now in its 11th year, Sheffield's Out of This World is a free city centre event that celebrates all things otherworldly. Attracting thousands of children and adults each year, this weird, wonderful and wacky event will return on Sunday 26 October. Expect a host of street entertainment, demonstrations, comic con characters, fancy dress, family activities, fairground rides, street food stalls and more. The Winter Garden, Tudor Square and Peace Gardens play host to the ever popular sci-fi, comic book, gaming and fantasy areas, while the Halloween Zone can be found spread across Town Hall Square, the Peace Gardens, Pinstone and Surrey Street. At Millennium Square and the Peace Gardens, visitors will be able to step into a world of magic and illusion, with some of the UK’s best magicians and illusionists flexing their skills, while spiring young witches and wizards will also be able to learn magic spells, design and make their own wands, and much more. Don your best fancy dress and come join the spooky fun!

Sheffield musical duo Polyhymns take you on a unique sound journey along the Hope Valley train line – from Sheffield to Chinley, in the Peak District – with a quadraphonic soundscape installation of improvised music, field recordings and oral history clips.
