SAFETY REMINDER 🚨 Just a quick reminder about what we're doing at Tiger Works to prevent spiking, we want people to feel as safe as possible in our venue.
- We are working closely with licensing and the police regarding the issue, taking advice from them and providing CCTV on request
- Searching customers on entry
- Extra security staff on every night who are regularly briefed on how to respond to potential spiking
- Regular staff training and reminders on behaviours related to spiking and the procedure to follow if someone has been spiked
- Clingfilm/bottle covers available behind both bars (please ask if you wish to have some)
- Extra CCTV added to monitor everywhere from multiple angles
- Advising people not to leave their drinks unmonitored, if you wish to go out and smoke please finish your drink or take it to the bar staff who will keep it safe behind the bar
- Educating staff and encouraging people to make use of the Ask for Angela initiative
- We are signed up to the new Sheffield Women and Girls Night Time Safety Charter
If you suspect you or anyone has been spiked please let management or door staff know as soon as possible. We highly recommend reporting any potential spiking to the police as soon as possible too. Below is a quote from SYP website regarding the spiking incidents in Sheffield.
"Please know that we are thoroughly investigating each and every incident reported to us. Please continue to report to us if you think you have been spiked or if you notice any suspicious behaviour while you are out – we are here 24/7 to listen to you and support you. With your information, we can build up a picture of what’s happening and where, to trace those responsible and bring them to justice"
