Beau is afraid Aster's latest film, directed by a masterful Phoenix, follows the tragic ordeal of a child in the body of a middle-aged man, a grotesquely Christological figure who, despite being a victim of a castrated mother, seems forced to atone for the faults of a manhood in crisis. The film, visivamenfe fascinating but of excessive duration, oscillates between extreme crypticity and captionism, which emerges in the transposition of Freudian theories (edipic complex and castration) today rather dusty. Despite the flaws, the representation of some neuroses and the attempt to subvert his own poetry, going beyond aesthetic suggestion, make the film the most interesting of Aster. Remarkable affinity with the concept of The Wall by Pink Floyd, especially with the songs Mother and The Trial. 👉 Grab your tickets now via the link in bio! 🌐
