The Teachers.
In many schools, teachers tell us they’re fighting to keep the Arts alive.
That’s why WeCompose matters so much; a chance for teachers to bring professional musicians into the classroom, enrich their curriculum, and give children hands-on access to music. By offering comprehensive resources, long-term support and training led by professional composers and educators, this project builds a legacy for teachers to continue delivering high-quality composition lessons and to create a culture of self-expression in schools that will inspire music-makers far beyond this project.
“The project lit a fire in our students. Meeting our composer helped them see a real career as a musician and gave so much value and insight.” - Teacher
“The opportunity for students to have their compositions performed by a professional ensemble is incredible. I wish I had experienced this myself when I was a student!” - Teacher
“A student has selected GCSE Music next year as a direct result of participating in WeCompose.” - Teacher
