Today we’re shining a light on some of the extraordinary musicians involved in WeCompose, the people at its heart who make this project transformative. They are: 🎤 Soprano Claire Booth Claire’s experience as a world-class soprano will help show young people what’s possible when passion meets skill. Her work ignites confidence, imagination and a belief that their voices matter. As Guest Curator of Sheffield Chamber Music Festival 2026, Claire will sing with children in one of our concerts, showing pupils that their voices can shine. 🎼 Composer Ellen Sargen Our brilliant composer Ellen will guide children as they shape their own musical ideas and help them realise that their creativity is worth listening to. Turning their ideas into real compositions, Ellen will build on musical understanding, teamwork and pride in the children’s own creations. 🎻 Consone String Quartet Our visiting String Quartet will continue their ongoing work in primary schools, allowing music to come off the page and into the room, helping children hear their ideas come alive. By bringing their expertise and skill, children will experiment with rhythm, structure and expression involved in ensemble playing. They work side-by-side with children to unlock creativity, build confidence and open doors for young people who often have little or no access to the arts. Your support today helps us bring these musicians into more classrooms in schools around Sheffield. 🎁 Support WeCompose today and your donation will be DOUBLED. 👇 To give, please follow the link in our bio to direct you to our Big Give Christmas Challenge page.
