MEET THE COMPOSERS: ELLEN SARGEN
Ellen Sargen is a composer, performer and researcher based in Manchester, with her activities predominantly taking place through collaborative creation for the concert hall or through community & education projects.
She works for Music in the Round as our
Composition & Creativity Coordinator and produces WeCompose, our composition project engaging KS3 and KS4 students across England.
Ellen’s research practice specialises in composer-performer collaboration. Recently she has worked with Ensemble Recherche, House of Bedlam, Contemporary Music for All, Riot Ensemble, Ensemble 360, National Opera Studio, Psappha and Ligeti Quartet.
