The purpose of the film is to raise awareness of addiction in the South Asian Community, provide information for addicts to recover and for their families to get help and support so no other family goes through what Jit’s family were forced to live through.
After the film we will host a Q+A with our esteemed panel Jit Chauhan (Film creator), Kim Kaur (SAFIR - South Asian Females in Recovery) and Sohan Sahota (Managing Director of BAC-IN). The discussion will be focused on tackling stigma and barriers to support within minoritised communities, particularly South Asian Communities. It is facilitated by Cllr Nighat Basharat, Irfan Khan (PMC) and Rifhat Aziz (ARC Project 6)
