Team Monty are a buzz in the office to share these images from our recent site visit to our beautiful building…and my my is she looking fancy!
Whilst we know and appreciate the delays in our capital redevelopment have resulted in many a move of shows and flexibility from production companies, partners and audiences alike, we remain faithful that it will all be worth it in our mission to bring our community a safe, warm and accessible place to enjoy live theatre and come together as one.
Our general manager, Kate Mitchell had this to say:
‘It’s incredible to finally see changes to the outside of the building! We’ve been watching all the changes happen inside for quite a while now, and can’t wait to share those with everyone, but the new glass front is definitely a monumental change for The Monty! One of the goals of the redevelopment along with improving our accessibility was to give the theatre more of a presence on the high street.... It’s early days yet, but the new glass front definitely does that!
People used to say “well I never knew there was a theatre there!” .... I think that’s about to change for the better!’
