🎉 It’s our 5th Birthday Today 🎂
All week we’ve been sharing 5 highlights from our 5th anniversary year.
⭐️ The NVM Team ⭐️
We'd like to celebrate our birthday with a special thank you to the wonderful NVM team that make the Museum what it is, we couldn't function without them.
The face of our Museum is the Front of House team who work exceptionally hard. Their knowledge and expertise help guide our visitors through our games and exhibits. Then there's our award winning Learning team who design and facilitate all the educational workshops we offer and are the brains behind a lot of our holiday activities.
Of course we wouldn't be a Museum without our collections team, who catalogue our collection and curate everything you see inside and outside the NVM. Our amazing engineer works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure all our games and exhibits are in working order and our Finance and Marketing teams help keep the Museum running and shout about all the awesome things we do respectively.
The leadership of our Co-CEO's in the last year has seen a refocus on the Museum's ambition to expand its work with diverse and underrepresented communities; reflect on the relevance of videogames across society, and advocate for greater access to careers in the videogame industry.
We'd also like to say a huge thank you to our Community Champions; volunteers who have given their free time helping to develop our Level Up pop up exhibitions.
And of course thank you all our supporters, patrons, partners and most importantly our visitors who have been there for us since opening in Sheffield.
Here's to the next 5 years and beyond which includes working towards Museum Accreditation!
