Today's Kids In Museums' Take Over Day saw three schools, Arbourthorne Community Primary School, Stonelow Primary School and Northfield Junior School become 'Museum Makers' for the day! Tasked with exploring the museum, they highlighted objects and games that interest them, surprise them and pique their curiosity. With this information they then worked in teams to generate ideas for either new activities, new games or new exhibits that they'd like to introduce to the museum. There were a ton of excellent ideas from all three schools including: 🎨 a Pokémon Drawing room (learn to draw your favourite Pocket Monsters!) 🤖 a VR setup in a room called VR Central 🎶 adding Just Dance and a four player dance machine to the NVM 👻 a scary escape room and beat a game to escape 🕹 a game combining Minecraft and Fortnite called Fortcraft so you can have the best of both worlds at the same time 🎮a timeline of games ✍ a room to write, draw, design and develop videogame stories and ideas 🎮a timeline of games (this one we're actually working on for January 2024!) It's been a brilliant day and we couldn't have wished for a better group to have handed control of the museum over to! #NVM #TakeoverDay #kidsinmuseums #Takeoverday2023 #museums #museummakers #videogames #games #gaming #retro #retrogames #activity #exhibit #exhibitions #objects #collections #ideas #team #teamwork #playthemuseum #curator #curation #pacman #scractch #gamedevelopment #pokemon #drawing #art #vr #virtualreality
