Facebook post by The National Videogame Museum

It's been a busy few weeks for the Level Up Project! The ‘Level Up’ project has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and its aim is to engage communities from across the region through local representatives, pop-up exhibitions and other activities - all of which is now really starting to take shape! We recently had a visit from the Sheffield Youth Hub who took part in our Object of the Month workshop. Each month we select a star object within the museum and put it in the spotlight. It was great to hear all the suggestions made and we'll look forward to revealing what the objects will be in the coming months! We also had a new cohort of Community Champion volunteers inducted and had our first CC meeting where we discussed potential venues for our upcoming pop-up exhibition! We can't thank our Community Champions enough for their hard work they've put in already! Exciting times ahead! Applications to volunteer are still open. We want to make sure that our volunteers reflect the diversity both of our local region and of the gaming community. We're currently looking for applications from women as well as trans and non binary people - find out more ⬇ https://thenvm.org/about/work-with-us/ #NVM #LevelUpProject #levelup #community #localcommunity #supportlocal #communitymembers #nonprofit #education #charity #volunteer #communitychampions #sheffield #rotherham #barnsley #chesterfield #southyorkshire #derbyshire #sheffieldissuper #videogames #gaming #workshops #getinvolved #museum #projects #communtiyprojects #popupexhibition #exhibition #objectofthemonth #playthemuseum
