🏥 More from the NVM Emergency Room Chronicles 🏥
As you can imagine our collection of arcade machines need regular maintenance due to wear and tear. Their age plays a part too.
Our latest patient is Donkey Kong, originally released in 1981, this machine has seen it all in it's 40+ years existence.
The particular issue here was Mario was struggling to move on screen. Quite ironic that he was originally known as Jumpman in Donkey Kong and now he could no longer jump!
This was due to the joystick actuator which was found to be in bits when the machine was opened up. We're pleased to report that it has been fully repaired and like new - Mario can again climb and avoid barrels (well dependant on the skill of the player 😜 )
