We’re super excited to be taking part in Kids in Museums Takeover Day again for 2024!
Coinciding with Discover Creative Careers Week and with the support and funding from Create Sheffield: Sheffield's Cultural Education Partnership, three SEND schools will have the opportunity to take over curation duties on Friday 22nd November through fun ‘Museum Makers’ workshops.
Gaining an insight into the variety of roles needed to create a Museum like ours, the workshops will not only showcase the roles and responsibilities within the Museum but enable learners to be a curator for the session!
Last year saw pupils from Arbourthorne Community Primary School, Stonelow Primary School and Northfield Junior School become 'Museum Makers' (pictured) creating ideas for new exhibits and games for the Museum where they pitched their ideas to the rest of the class.
We can’t wait to see what brilliant ideas this year’s children will come up with!
