“I am just pleased that we saved this item rather than it being recycled or going for scrap."
You may have recently seen the story of how the eagle eye of Matthew Bostock, helped save a BBC Micro Computer from scrap to becoming a star object in our brand new timeline cabinet.
With his help and the brilliant folk at Derbyshire County Council, the iconic computer, a staple of 1980's classrooms, was rescued and kindly donated to us.
With a bit of TLC the computer was restored to full working order and it now sits alongside a host of classic computers of that era including the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and the Fairchild Channel F.
