We've had loads of videogame Easter egg examples pinned to our board in the museum - thank you to everyone who's contributed so far! 🥚🎮
Here's a few we've picked out from our visitors (scroll across to see the examples):
💍 Lord of the Rings Online - Originally there was a small island that you wouldn't normally visit but when you do their is a beach with a sandcastle. The sandcastle is a reference to the Tolkein novella Roverandom. In year 9 of the game the sand castle was a reward for completing the Anniversary Scavenger Hunt quest.
🔴 Super Mario 64 - Butterflies may appear on some courses. Punch the butterflies to turn them into round black bombs that will chase Mario. The bombs will explode or turn into extra life mushrooms. (A video example can be found here:

🚗 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - This one contains many Easter Eggs! One includes a reference to Half-Life. During the Black Project mission you can find a crowbar that looks very similar to Half-Life's Gordon Freeman.
