As 2024 comes to a close it's time to reflect on some of the brilliant moments we've enjoyed here at the NVM.
2024 saw us:
🕹 Welcome over 600 students for @gamescareerweek
🎮 Co-create a videogame adventure trail in Rotherham with @ccoc_rotherham2025 which saw over 2,500 people take part
🎨 Take part in @heritageopendays and see young students become curators in @kidsinmuseums Takeover Day
🎤 Host an array of events with brilliant people like @techuk.official, @bafta and Ukie as well as hoisting another wedding 💒
👾 Contribute to the brilliant @petemckee exhibition at @sheffmuseums with the loaning of our Space Invaders machine
🏆 Become another award winner as our Head of Learning, Stacey, won the Community Player Award at the 2024 Game republic awards.
We can thank everyone enough for all the support you have given us during our 6 years in Sheffield - we've got some very exciting plans ahead including finalising our work towards becoming an accredited museum.
Don't forget we're open again today from 10am so pop on by! We will then be closed until 2nd of January when we will be again open from 10am.
