🎉 We're turning 5 on Friday 🎂
All week on social media we'll be sharing 5 highlights from our 5th anniversary year.
⭐️ Collaboration ⭐️
This year has seen us work and collaborate on a huge amount of brilliant projects with amazing organisations.
First up saw us host BBC Teach who filmed their Safer Internet Day Live Lesson episode right here in the Museum. A great experience and the episode is still available to view on the BBC Teach website.
In February, we launched our Physics Exhibit programme of events. In collaboration with CERN and The University of Sheffield, visitors could learn about particle physics, how physics work in videogames and experience a virtual tour of the Large Hadron Collider (we also had a Lego counterpart on display!) We've also been working with them on a new school workshop - coming soon!
Friday 17th Nov saw BBC Children in Need raise a staggering £33.5m, all of which supports the amazing charity work and projects including our Play The City project. This 3 year project has seen the NVM run free workshops where young participants have access to designing their own videogame level. The level is then added to our Play The City game, playable at Sheffield Libraries, Archives & Information's Children's Library as well as the NVM!
