It was a pleasure to be invited to the launch event of The Boy with a Leg Named Brian: Memoirs by Pete McKee exhibition at Sheffield Museums' Weston Park Museum.
One of Sheffield’s best-loved artists, Pete Mckee Art's brand new and largest solo exhibition to date takes you on a nostalgia-filled journey through his 1970’s childhood. This playful and evocative exhibition was thoroughly enjoyed by the NVM team as we explored Pete’s memories captured in a new series of paintings, prints and sculptures.
The exhibition is also complemented by displays celebrating the clothes, music and popular culture of the period. We’re also very proud to have played a small part in this display which features our 1978 Space Invaders arcade cabinet which will be playable throughout the exhibition's run.
The McKee and Sheffield Museums teams have done a brilliant job! The exhibition runs for a year, until 2nd November 2025. Be sure to go along to explore this brilliantly moving and incredibly funny interactive exhibition.
Thanks for inviting us!
