A videogame Easter egg is a hidden feature, surprise or reference that are usually unlocked by using certain techniques to complete in-game tasks, entering specific button combinations or acquiring access to hidden areas or secret game files.
We've been asking our visitors this week what some of their favourites 'egg-samples' are and we'll be sharing them over the coming days.
The first known videogame Easter egg was in the 1979 game Adventure. The game's developer Warren Robinett embedded his name in the game in the form of a hidden and virtually inaccessible room!
