Happy National Videogame Day! A fitting day to announce our exciting summer revamp 🤩
With brand new displays and interpretation emphasising the stories behind our collection, The Arcade, The Lab and Made In Sheffield exhibits invite you to play, create and learn together throughout the summer holidays in a fresh new way.
Starting on the 24th July our reconfigured Arcade will take visitors through a chronological narrative exploring how arcades became vibrant social spaces while from the 12th August our popular Lab area invites visitors to create their own videogames and get creative with brand new activities from our award winning learning team.
Rounding off our exciting summer programme from the 26th August sees our Made In Sheffield exhibit completely refreshed and expanded as we shine a light on Sheffield's gaming heritage that started 40 years ago with Gremlin Graphics.
