One week until break up for half term 🙌 We've got plenty in store over the half term to keep the whole family occupied. We're inviting visitors to explore the science of physics through videogames and educational activities 🚀 In collaboration with CERN and The University of Sheffield, families will be able to explore the Large Hadron Collider facility virtually, learning all about particle physics and the research that takes place at CERN. Dr. Kristin Lohwasser, who is a Senior Lecturer in Experimental Particle Physics at the University of Sheffield and lead on the project says: “It’s exciting to showcase CERN and our University of Sheffield research in a virtual tour and as an interactive world in drop in activities. We’ll also show off a bit of how videogames and videogame technology are helping us out now in our research." We’re open 10am-1pm/2pm-5pm everyday from the 11th-19th February.
