Greg has been awarded an honorary degree from the University of York, not just for his incredible work in radio / podcasting, but for his love of a certain @uniofyork campus duck.
Long Boi, an unusually tall mallard, became a viral icon and regular mention on Greg’s show. After the duck’s disappearance, Greg led a memorial and even went on to unveil a statue in his honour.
Now, Greg’s bond with York and Long Boi has earned him an honorary Doctor of the University.
Yes, it’s silly. Yes, it’s brilliant. We love ya Greg ❤️
