Now that post-punk is a longer period in music than pre-punk, it kinda makes sense that Nightbus sound like a new future while nodding at the past.
There is the eternal Joy Division in their DNA but also that spectral minimalism of 17 Seconds by The Cure, that dark energy of Massive Attack or a shiver of the skinny sounds of young Dublin crews like Fontaines D.C or The Murder Capital, or a whiff of The XX to their shivering enticing mix.
We can’t wait to welcome them back to Float Along Festival this September.
