Facebook post by Sheffield Adventure Film Festival

Thanks to everyone who shared the Spirit of Adventure this weekend. Over 350 people joined us for adventure films, wood-fired pizza and drinks in Sheffield Cathedral. The Spirit Of Adventure is a term that we coined at ShAFF back in the early days, for films which captured people's joy for life and willingness to put themselves out there. When we were approached by Sheffield Cathedral last year to put on an adventure film screening the term naturally came to mind. This year the Spirit Of Adventure was back in the Cathedral with live choral music from St John's Choir of Ranmoor, a silent archive YHA film from Nature Matters and the Yorkshire & North East Film Archives, wood-fired pizza, a bar, and four screenings of award-winning adventure films. Coinciding with Remembrance weekend, the teatime feature on Saturday was a special screening of Blood Road, a fitting film to watch on Armistice Day. Thanks to St John's Choir of Ranmoor, Sunshine Pizza Oven Purple Wave AV Rab Outdoor Equipment + all our amazing ShAFF and Cathedral volunteers, Nature Matters and the filmmakers. Next stop… ShAFF in March. See you all there
