If you were out and about over Tramlines weekend, you may have seen WalkSafe advertised around the festival's fringe events in Sheffield city centre.
WalkSafe is a personal safety app which combines a safety map with journey sharing features. The safety map plots local venues that meet relevant safety standards, enabling you to plan your nights out in the safest way.
The app will also help you plot a safer route home, notify your loved ones when you get home safe and lets you share your live location with your trusted contacts.
WalkSafe is just one of many tactics we are using to help keep our streets safer, particularly for women and girls. Meanwhile, we continue to focus on those responsible for making others feel unsafe.
