🐉✨ A Night of Light & Tradition: Dragon Light Ceremony & Chinese Lion Dance ✨🦁
On 30th January 2025, the Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Festival began with a truly special moment—the Dragon Light Ceremony at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, illuminating the city with warmth, hope, and cultural celebration.
🌟 We were honoured to have The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Jayne Dunn, join us for this heartfelt occasion, sharing in the joy of bringing the community together.
🦁 The festivities continued with a spectacular Sheffield Chinese Lion Dance, symbolizing prosperity, good fortune, and the strength of our diverse city. The energy, the colours, and the meaning behind these traditions set the perfect tone for the Year of the Snake celebrations! Photo by @sheffieldphotographeryuna
📅 Festival Continues:
🗓️ 1st & 2nd February 2025 – Peace Gardens (FREE Entry)
🗓️ 10th February 2025 – Octagon Centre (Tickets Required 🎟️)
🗣️ Thank you to everyone who joined us! Tag your friends and family, and let’s continue the celebrations this weekend!
