All aboard! As we head into week two of the school holidays we’ve got plenty to keep the kids entertained here at Sheffield Museums.
🚶 George’s Sculptures: George Fullard was a Sheffield sculptor who would have been 100 this year. Lots of his work showed people doing an action – using mixed materials, create a sculpture of someone walking, running or stretching.
📆 Tue 11 Apr, 12 noon - 3pm
📍 Millennium Gallery
🍬 Sweet Sheffield: As well as being known for steel, Sheffield also has a long history of sweet-making. Come and learn about the city's confectionery past and design your own sweet and wrapper.
📆 Wed 12 Apr, 12 noon - 3pm
📍 Weston Park Museum
⛓ Chain Reactions: Lots of incredible inventions have been developed in Sheffield. Invent your own ‘Rube Goldberg’ machine and put together a spectacular system of chain reactions.
