Thank you to everyone who came to our third annual Welcoming Cultures UK Celebration at The Millennium Gallery last Saturday! 😊
The event showcased cultural community groups from across Sheffield, with short talks on Romanian traditional dress and Polish history, performances including flamenco, Indian dancing and a Cantonese soloist, a traditional dress fashion show, and displays and information from various stalls.
Sheffield’s Lord Mayor Jayne Dunn also gave a lovely welcome speech. The event was part of the Migration Matters Festival and also marked Refugee Week and Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month. Nearly 300 people joined in the celebrations at the event and we’re looking forward to hosting it again next year! 🎉
