It's World Donkey Day, and what better way to celebrate than announcing our upcoming exhibition in the Millennium Gallery - Donkey Nonsense: Prints by James Green.
This summer, the Millennium Gallery celebrates the work of one of Sheffield’s most popular artists and printmakers, James Green. Alongside his bold renderings of landscapes and animals of all kinds, donkeys have been a much-loved mainstay of Green’s prints for over 15 years. Opening on Saturday 27 May, Donkey Nonsense: Prints by James Green will showcase more than 50 of Green’s donkey-inspired screenprints and linocuts, alongside clothing, ceramics, films and more.
Donkey Nonsense is the most comprehensive retrospective of Green’s work to date. The exhibition will also feature a series of new work, which will go on sale exclusively in the gallery shop, alongside other select pieces inspired by the works in the exhibition.
We can't wait to share this with you!
