That's a wrap for February half term! We had so much fun welcoming you to our family activities last week ☺️ we had kids from 18 months to 14 years take part, and regular visitors and first-timers alike 🎀 ⭐ Weston Park Museum was buzzing with celebrations for Lunar New Year, including a dragon puppet making activity and a lion dance performance organised by Stephanie Chung – check out the photo of the Sheffield Lion Dance in Picturing Sheffield, it looks fantastic! 🎨We got very creative (and a bit messy 😏) at The Millennium Gallery on Wednesday, as families took inspiration from John Hoyland’s painting and made their mark on a giant collaborative canvas. 🔧We were also inspired by the creative thinking at Kelham Island Museum on Thursday with lots of new inventions with ingenious uses! 💭 What the adults said: it was a “great creative activity for kids of all ages” and they liked the kids “being able to use their imagination”. 💭 What the kids said: they liked “painting with my fingers” and “being messy”! 🫣 Thanks to everyone who came along ☺️ We're already looking forward to the Easter holiday!
