🧠💙 Maternal Mental Health Awareness Day 💙🧠 Today we’re raising awareness of the mental health challenges a lot of new parents can experience. We considered how creativity, connection and compassion can help when we designed our offer for new parents and little ones including Baby Friendly Art Club, Art at the Start and Friday Under 5s. 👶🎨 At Baby Friendly Art Club, the focus is on you, the parent or carer. These relaxed, welcoming sessions begin with mindfulness exercises, so you can take a moment to pause, breathe and gently ease stress and anxiety. Then, with non-messy art materials and friendly guidance, you can explore your creativity while your baby relaxes on soft mats, surrounded by sensory toys. 🧸🎨 Art at the Start and Friday Under 5s are playful, sensory sessions all about shared fun, confidence-building and bonding. They’re a good way to get out of the house and enjoy doing something a bit different together. And remember, there’s no pressure whenever you visit Sheffield Museums - if your child cries, needs feeding, changing or anything else then that’s completely fine! And remember all our sites are breastfeeding-friendly with baby changing facilities. 📍 Baby Friendly Art Club at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet – supportive, creative sessions for new parents & carers (£9, booking advised).
