We're prepping items from the collection ready for you! 💫 Join freelance curator Jon Sleigh on Sun 9 Nov for a friendly, relaxed session exploring LGBTQ+ stories from the city’s collection. Come along to discover these treasures from the collection - including a beautiful drawing of Winifred John by Gwen John, a Top of the Pops annual, a drawing by John Minton called 'Portrait of a Young Man Seated' – and their fascinating connections and hidden LGBTQ+ stories! 👀 Plus, lots more! Queer histories have always existed, though they’ve sometimes been hidden or misinterpreted. In this informal session, Jon will introduce a range of artworks and objects that reveal how queerness has shaped the city’s collection. The session offers a welcoming space for open conversations about identity, representation and LGBTQ+ visibility in art.
