Coming up next week, join BA and MA students from Sheffield Hallam University for readings of the poems and texts they’ve produced in response to the current Comes the Flood Ruskin Collection display at the Millennium Gallery. The new display imagines the future that Ruskin predicted when he commissioned many works of art recording the architecture of Venice. He saw what was to come – that the city would soon be unrecognisable due to the impact of environmental change and poor building conservation. Come along to hear how these writers responded to the idea of flooded cities amongst the paintings, drawings and other artefacts that they found as inspiration in the latest redisplay of the Guild of St George's Ruskin Collection.
