Coming soon, our latest Saturday Workshop: Hand Block Printing on Glass. ✨ In this, full day, workshop you'll take inspiration from the beautiful designs in our latest exhibition, Pioneers: John Ruskin, William Morris and the Bauhaus to create a make your own unique printing blocks to hand-print a one-of-a-kind wall mirror. You may be familiar with seeing this traditional printing technique on fabric and wallpaper, but we're taking it to another level by printing onto a glass wall mirror, which makes beautiful textures as the printing block is removed from the glass. This workshop will be led by artist and designer Josephine Gomersall designs, who will take you through the creative process, step-by-step. You'll begin with finding inspiration, then preparing your design: drawing, sketching and trialling layouts and compositions, before cutting your blocks, and finally printing🌸 You'll leave the workshop with, not only, a beautiful decorative wall mirror to adorn your home or give as a gift this festive season, but also the skills to produce block printing designs, which you could then apply to cards, paper or fabric.
