NEW STREET FOOD AND MUSIC MARKET SET TO LAUNCH OUTSIDE SHEFFIELD TRAIN STATION IN AUGUST! A collection of the city’s most successful event organisers has announced it’s full steam ahead for a brand-new, family-friendly street food market and live music event on the under-utilised space outside Sheffield Train Station. The first SoundBite Market - Sheffield Train Station is set to take place across the weekend of 5th and 6th August, showcasing six Sheffield-based street food vendors, a stage with live music from up-and-coming Sheffield artists, as well as a bar, coffee from Motore Café, and family friendly activities. The event will be free to attend and run from 12 – 10pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The team behind Skyline, a multi-venue dance music festival, Ciaron Elm who organises the popular Woodseats Live music festival, and Chris Hanson, a chef and founder of Blend Kitchen will all lend their expertise to the new event. Skyline and SoundBite organiser, Phil McCue, told Exposed Magazine: “SoundBite will showcase the best of Sheffield, with incredible independent food vendors and local musicians taking over the train station concourse to offer something completely new.” Skyline’s Simon Tomlinson explained: “One of the key things for SoundBite is looking at how we can give back to the Sheffield and offer opportunities to underrepresented communities.” For more information about the event, visit https://facebook.com/events/s/soundbite-market-sheffield-tra/651327729922301/ Alternatively you can follow them on Instagram at @soundbitesheffield If you’d like to be considered as a food vendor, or are a Sheffield-based musician wanting to perform, email hello@soundbitemarket.co.uk Credit: Exposed Magazine
