We couldnโ€™t say this better ourselves and wanted to give Livia @livinginsheffield a big shout out. After our joint womenโ€™s beer tasting back in May, sheโ€™s been a wonder to collaborate with. Look out for another event from us coming in Yep. Up until 1982 in the UK it was perfectly legal to refuse to serve women in British pubs, which were traditionally โ€œmale environmentsโ€. In the first photo we have a group of 30 women coming together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of @sheffbeerweek at @lost_in_west_bar ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ปโ€™๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป around the world have made and continue to make. It must be intersectional too. But not just today. Everyday it must be days against oppression and inequality. We must include migrant women regardless of background and colour of skin (I really hope other migrants feel encouraged to attend events in Sheffield, but more than this, we need organisers really creating inclusive/welcoming spaces for us). I am very thankful to all those women who came before me and with a lot of courage fought for me & others to have civil rights, political rights and work rights respected these days. Letโ€™s celebrate them as well!! I am also very glad for all the great women I have the pleasure to meet throughout my years in Sheffield too. I have been learning a lot from them. In 2024, which changes do you still want to see for women? Better salaries, more women representing us in politics, more spaces in academia, safety on the streets...Respect... Also, please mention here any interesting women or female businesses owners you admire in Sheffield. We must know them & grow the circle! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’œโ€
