🧀 Camembert Voltaire 🧀 CHEESE is now at Hop Hideout under our offshoot @camembertvoltaire 💯 Inspired by Sheffield, its musical roots AND CHEESE. We approached @turboisland back in 2021 after falling in love with their cheese poster and tee designs like ‘Briebok’ with Jules’ idea. Having studied up at the old Psalter Lane Arts Campus, Jules discovered the band, Cabaret Voltaire, through stories of them performing there in the 1970/80s. Throughout Jules’ life, music has always been a constant thread, a passion, as has beer and cheese! Over the last 12 years we’ve had food pop-ups and increased our snack selection and with the move to Leah’s, developing that has just felt natural. We’ve been holding on to this idea for years, waiting for the right time. Sadly in September 2021 Cabs founding member Richard H. Kirk passed away. Jules decided to pause the idea. Fast forward 2025 and with a recent tour announcement from original members Stephen Mallinder and Chris Watson, celebrating their 50-year legacy, Jules booked tickets and started thinking about things again…. So here we are in homage/fromage to all the above - Camembert Voltaire is GO 🧀 We’ve a curated selection of British and French cheeses plus crackers, pickles and more. You can buy to take home and/or you can have in at Hop Hideout 🎉 We’re thrilled to be supporting cheese makers in what’s been a rough few years for the industry. There’s @kingstonedairy @cotehillcheese @quickes and more, just a little curated selection, French and British. I apologise for my French pronunciation 😂 But the Valençay (VAL-awn-SAY) is a delicious fresh, zesty, goats cheese with an ash dusting. Come by and enjoy our new the cheesy delights 🙌
