👋 This is Lucy. She grew up in the picturesque, countryside of the Forest of Dean where her father, Alistair, set up a pottery. Having completed a degree in Fine Art Painting, she then went on to teach. Later she retrained as a production potter and went on to set up @lucyyoungceramics She’s loves making high-quality, functional ceramics for others to use and enjoy. And is very passionate about making hand-thrown ceramic tankards; a skill passed down from her father. We discovered her work via @crafty_beer_girls where she shared her recent designs for the likes of Deya, Wiper & True and @iwcbd amongst others. When we approached her with our tankard idea with @pintsandpanels artwork she got behind the idea straight away. 🖌️And so did you lovely lot who’ve snapped up over 30 on our Crowdfunder, meaning we’ve met the minimum production run 🙌 Lucy’s been creating the test tankard as you can see in the pictures, it’ll be fired and glazed, so it will evolve and we’ll share more pictures along the way. There’s 17 left to pledge on (with a drinks fill 🍺) so grab those if you fancy before May 7th…. Thanks once again to everyone who has supported, you helped reach our 7k target in less than a week 💜 https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/support-hop-hideout-opening-in-leahs-yard/rewards#start
