About us

The Playhous is part of the world-famous Sheffield Theatres complex with includes the Crucible and Lyceum theatres. The versatile Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse is a box of surprises. Formally known as The Studio, this miniature marvel flexes from 100 to 400 seats and welcomes top treats from the fringe, local heroes and new treasures. We stage our Sheffield-made productions here too. Intimate, but never small scale, the space is completely transformed for each show. You’ll never see this magical theatre look the same way twice.
