About us

SRSB is proud to play an integral part in the Sheffield community and local economy. Almost all of our employees and volunteers live in Sheffield and we have a preference of sourcing our suppliers for goods and services from within Sheffield wherever possible.

Whilst we are an independent charity in Sheffield we also work closely with government departments, local authorities, national charities, local charities and support groups to enable blind and partially sighted people in Sheffield and Rotherham area to receive the most suitable support in an efficient manner.

The Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind and Rotherham Sight & Sound are making a difference in the Sheffield and Rotherham area. Our vision is to continue to be the primary source of services and support for people with sight loss in Sheffield and sight/hearing loss in Rotherham. SRSB and RSS provide opportunity, support, friendship and services to people with sight and/or hearing loss in the Sheffield and Rotherham area, helping them to achieve whatever they wish to do and whatever they aspire to be.

We have a varied programme of Fundraising Events each year with something to suit everyone.
