One of the best ways of exploring the city centre is to join a guided walk.
Whether it's a quick introduction, or something more entertaining, you can learn all about Sheffield past and present, the architecture, heritage and culture.
Sheffield Walking Tours' Tour guide Marcus Newton, will take you on a leisurely journey through 900 years of history, from the medieval to the twenty first century. You can see top visitor attractions including the Town and City Halls together with the many hidden gems that Sheffield city centre has to offer. Get to know all the best bits, interesting things and the downright quirky facts.
Marcus offers private pre-bookable morning, afternoon and early evening guided walking tours throughout the week, including weekends. The tours are approximately 90 minutes long and can depart and finish at any city centre location of your choice. If you prefer a shorter tour, Marcus is always happy to accommodate.
Private tours cost £20 per person and there is a 10% discount for groups of 20 or more.
Please note, as the tour route meanders through Sheffield city centre, there are occasionally a couple of areas which may be difficult for people with limited mobility.
