Manahatta, Balm Green
Head for a happy hour steal at stylish New York themed bar Manahatta.
They offer pints of Madri, glasses of prosecco or house wine for £4 between 4 and 8pm Sunday to Wednesday.
So if you overindulged financially at Christmas, it’s an affordable way to catch up with a pal.
They're also taking £10 off their 'iconic Bottomless Brunch or Bottomless Party' throughout January 2026. Must pre-book by 23 January 2026 to receive all discounts.
The Sheffield Tap, Sheffield Railway Station
Conveniently located for train, tram and bus commuters, The Sheffield Tap is a charming pub with a vast range of drinks.
There’s an on-site microbrewery inside the historic, Grade II listed venue.
Great pork pies and carefully selected spirits are some of the other reasons why you might end up missing the last Northern service home.

Hop Hideout, Leah’s Yard
While we’re on beer…
Award-winning speciality beer shop and tasting room Hop Hideout is a fiercely independent hotspot located in the city centre.
It is family friendly, holds beer tasting experiences and often collaborates in special events.
Whatever you order, expect expert knowledge on every single drink (including a solid alcohol free selection).

Perch Brewhouse, Garden Street
This hidden gem of a brewhouse hits the mark for atmosphere but also for its range of alcohol free beers.
If you have a big group, the lovely courtyard is great for groups.
You can also take a bottle home or stay for tea with pizzas and burgers on offer at the Dead Parrot Beer Company venue.
Bungalows and Bears, Division Street
Happy hour drinks also start at £4, Monday to Thursday, at this stalwart of the Sheffield city centre scene.
The options include beer and 0% beer, gin and tonic, wine or prosecco.
For an extra £1 there are three cocktails and two premium beers on offer.
Add a few snacks with their small plates - think halloumi fries, snack nachos and calamari strips - at three for £15.

La Bottega, Leopold Street
Log off and watch the world go by with a glass of fine wine - not in Lucca, but on Leopold Street.
The wine list at this Italian restaurant and bar is more than extensive, including champagnes, dessert wines and eight rose options alone.
Try something new and if you love it, there’s also the option to take a bottle home.

🧖♀️ Wellness and fitness after work in Sheffield city centre
Take care of your mind and body by scheduling a spot of wellness into your after-work schedule.
Güs Sauna, Cambridge Street
Say hello to Sheffield city centre's hottest new arrival.
“Sauna can be an afterthought in the UK - we want it to be the main event”, said Chris Jones.
He and co-founder Robin Hemingway have just opened the doors to the new Güs Sauna, a Scandi-inspired sauna, ice bath and cafe experience on Cambridge Street.

The university pals turned business owners have transformed the former Bethel Sunday School into a bespoke thermal wellness hub which just launched on 2 January 2026.
Inside, there’s a Finnish-grade sauna for up to 24 people and four ice plunge baths at temperatures between three and 12 degrees. Upstairs there’s a second sauna for 12, with stunning views over the city centre, and a tea station.
What sets Güs apart is its 90-minute signature guided sauna sessions, which will be led by the two trained sauna masters from later on this month.
These sessions are broken down into three rounds and will feature sensory extras such as music, breathwork, aromatherapy and essential oils.
Chris said: “I lived in Copenhagen for two years and the sauna culture is huge there. I always felt amazing after a session. In the UK, a lot of people have been to a sauna but they don’t necessarily know what they should be doing in one.
“Our guided sessions help and are great for mental clarity. If you go to a yoga class the instructor talks you through it - this is similar.

“We’ll be doing it because we love sauna and we want everyone else to love it.”
The intimate ground floor Güs cafe serves Darkwoods Coffee, recovery shakes, electrolyte drinks and baked goods.
And upstairs freeflow 45-minute sauna sessions run from before work - starting at 7am - until 9pm.
The saunas can reach temperatures of 85-90 degrees, and benefits include recovery, relaxation and improved energy.
Chris added: “We will open until 9pm in the week so if people want to do a gym class after work, they can still sauna afterwards.
“There are lots of big offices nearby so there is a captive after-work audience. People can come to experience sauna before work, after work - we will fit in with their routines.”
Hotpod Yoga, Furnival Square
Immersing yourself in a hot yoga session has many benefits, from detoxification to increased flexibility.
Hotpod Yoga offers a variety of classes, from slow and relaxing, to the more challenging.
Expect a consistent temperature of around 37 degrees, and to feel cocooned away from the world.
There are evening classes every day.

Exercise classes, Ponds Forge
Burn off the day’s load with an energising fitness class.
Ponds Forge International Sports Centre has a wide range of options, including kettlebells (on Thursday evenings) spinning (Monday and Tuesday evenings) and Les Mills bodypump sessions (Friday evenings)
There are also aqua based classes and lane swimming sessions on offer.

🥘 Dining out after work in Sheffield city centre
With Sheffield city centre restaurants spanning every cuisine and new ones popping up, the issue is not deciding whether to eat out, but where.
Aux Bon Vivant, Campo Lane
Say hello to Sheffield city centre's tastiest new arrival.
Chef Pierre Renault is upfront on why he moved from a Michelin starred restaurant in France to opening his own venture in Sheffield city centre.
“My wife is a proper Yorkshire product”, he smiled.
Aux Bon Vivant - meaning ‘to the good living’ - was launched in December 2025 by Pierre and Zara Brown, just after they welcomed their baby son.
The French café, wine and gourmet deli focuses on quality and sharing.

During the day, visitors can enjoy coffee, artisan pastries and sandwiches.
On Thursday and Friday evenings, the focus moves to wine and food for grazing, from cheese and charcuterie to smaller sharing dishes such as lamb shoulder rillettes or baked brie.
Pierre, former executive chef at Les Maisons Rabanel in Arles, added: “We offer very simple, very tasty food and charge the right price for it. We try to get the absolute best quality that we can.
“The idea with the French sharing food is that it’s spread on a table among your friends, you have a little wine and enjoy your night.”
The approach to provenance and quality is evident in the cafe, from the delicate chocolate torsade pastries to the hand-made crisps.
Wine starts at £5 a glass at Aux Bon Vivant, and everything can be taken away.
Evening openings are Thursday until 7pm and Fridays until 8.30pm.
