Co-working spaces in the city centre š¤
š Article updated Thursday 30Ā OctoberĀ 2025
They say a change is as good as a rest.Ā
Co-working outside the office or home is a great way to collaborate, reignite productivity or simply break away from that same old sandwich combination.
Sheffield city centre has lots of options for co-working, and weāve put together this guide to the best places to plug in.
They are organised by two categories, depending on yourĀ needs.
āCafes, food halls and other casual venues

ā Cafes and food halls
HyggeĀ
šĀ Fitzalan SquareĀ šĀ Eyre StreetĀ šĀ Pound's Park
Hanging chairs, a Scandi-cool interior and excellent coffee make independent Hygge a solid option for co-working.
ā¹ļøĀ Visit Find Your Hygge (Sheffield) for opening times.

Their original site - which also boasts plenty of whimsically designed nooks and crannies - on Fitzalan Square is often busy with people typing at their laptops.
Freshly made sandwiches and tempting cakes are on offer, and if you need a screen break, there are books or games available too.
Hygge opened their third venue at Elshaw House, overlooking Pounds Park, in spring 2025.

Sheffield Plate
šĀ Orchard Square
11am-9pm weekdays
Take your tastebuds on holiday at Sheffield Plate, a food hall serving dishes from around the world.

Peruvian chicken rice bowls, authentic pad Thai and Greek gyros are just a small sample of dishes available.
Working from the window seating, where there are plug sockets, allows you to enjoy some people watching and thereās a bar two steps away for when you clock off.
The Co-Work Collective atĀ The Cosy Club
š The Cosy Club, Holly Street
The free to attend events take place every six weeks - the next one will be Thursday 6Ā November 2025, drop in 9.30am-2pm.
RSVP to jade@jadelianacommunications.co.uk
The word ānetworkingā can strike fear into the hearts of even the most experienced professional.
Inclusive and welcoming, The Co-Work Collective has been set up by communications consultant and founder of Jade Liana Communications, Jade Liana March.
Jade has so far welcomed more than 100 professionals across the events that have already taken place at the Cosy Club.
The drop-in co-working space which takes place every six weeks in Sheffield city centre is designed to encourage more natural conversations between professionals from every industry and at all levels in a relaxed environment.
The co-working concept also now has its own WhatsApp business community chat to help foster connections in between events.

Jade said: āIāve been in the working world since 2011, and Iāve never really enjoyed traditional networking events. They often cater to those who are naturally confident in those settings, which isnāt the case for everyone.
āWhile thereās a time and place for structured networking, I saw an opportunity to create something more accessible and that fosters meaningful, organic connections.
āThe Co-Work Collective brings together professionals who might not ordinarily cross paths.
āA graduate could attend and meet a hiring manager, or a freelance web designer could connect with a business in need of a website refresh.
āSince launching in April 2025, Iāve welcomed more than 100 professionals who have made valuable connections whilst working away on their laptops. It really is a fantastic feeling knowing that Iām making a mark in the networking and co-working scene in Sheffield.
āThe feedback Iāve had from attendees has been super positive and supportive. We have a different group of people attend each time, with some people coming along to every event so far! Some people stay for the duration and others pop in for an hour or two. Itās completely flexible and thatās exactly what I wanted it to be.
āUnlike traditional industry-focused networking events, this setting has created opportunities in a more relaxed and authentic way.
āIt also gives remote workers a chance to get out, meet their peers, and feel part of a community.ā
āWhile there are other coworking spaces and networking events in Sheffield, this idea really merges the best of both worlds.
āThereās no pressure - no need to hand out business cards, do awkward introductions, or participate in structured discussions (which can be anxiety-inducing for many).
āJust bring your laptop, grab a coffee or some food, and work in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
āThe Cosy Club is the perfect venue, and Iāve loved welcoming so many people to the events so far!ā
