Family Fun Day - The Triangle of Unity

Sheffield Cathedral is lining up a 'fun-filled day with face painting, stilt walkers, an African drumming workshop, crafts, circus skills, and much more' on Saturday 14 February. 

Come and see The World Reimagined Globes - 10 large hand-painted sculptures created by local school students to help us explore social and racial issues, including the history and legacy of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Out of this World Trail

Take on an 'out-of-this-world' adventure through Sheffield Cathedral. 

Pick up your Galactic Trail Sheet from the Cathedral Gift Shop and get ready for lift-off.

Follow the trail map as you journey around the Cathedral to discover cosmic collection boxes hidden along the way.

Inside each one, you’ll find an interstellar shape. Collect one shape from all eight cosmic boxes, then head to the Space Station to put them together and create something strange and wonderful. 

Once your galactic creation is complete, return your trail sheet to the Cathedral's Gift Shop to claim your glowing prize.

The Out of this World Trail is suitable for Children 4yrs + and is available on Monday 16, Tuesday 17, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February between 10am and 4pm.

Take your mark making skills to new heights with this cloud drawing activity. 

Inspired by the latest Ruskin Collection display, Storm-Cloud, collaboratively draw, paint or collage a sky full of clouds.

You’ll draw from direct observation using a view finder and use your imagination to create shapes and shading.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea

The Olivier Award nominated The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to the Lyceum. 

The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be?

What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger!

Join the tea-guzzling tiger in this delightful family show; packed with 'oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos'. 

A stunning stage adaptation of the classic tale of teatime mayhem... expect to be surprised!

Get Creative at the Light

The Light's in-house artist Stephen leads a crafting workshop in the Light's foyer area.

Writing Pirate Adventures
Family activity with Carmel Page

City Centre Lunar Chinese New Year Festival 🐎

From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters, comes GOAT, an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world.

The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball–a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.

Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

Family Friendly cinema at the Light

Whether you're unleashing your inner child or creating cherished memories with your loved ones, the Light have got something for everyone.

Amongst their dedicated family friendly screenings, there are Family Specials with special screenings every Saturday and Sunday. The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants is showing on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February as part of the Light's Family Specials screenings. 

Between Monday 16 and Friday 20 February, you can take the whole crew to a Family Special screening for £10 for a family of four (including two or three children).

Family Time at the Showroom Cinema

Family Time screenings are relaxed and feature Hard of Hearing subtitles (where possible) and low-level lighting for accessibility and comfort for all. 

All tickets are priced at £6 and you can even pick up a small drink and popcorn combo (for under 15s) priced at £4.50 at the Box Office.
