Ghost Hunt Halloween Trail 🗺️

📝 Orchard Square's popular family trail is returning in time for October half term, this time with a Halloween twist 🎃
Guaranteed to give everyone a truly ‘terror-ific’ time, Orchard Square’s popular and free family trail is returning for Halloween in the form of a Ghost Hunt.
Taking place from Friday 25 October until Sunday 3 November, participants are tasked with finding the friendly ghosts hiding around the Square in order to discover the secret word and claim a ‘fang-tastic’ prize 🎁
To join in the free fun, collect your activity booklet from Sheffield Plate in Orchard Square and return it to them once completed to claim your prize.

Plug in and Play 🕹️

📝 October half term sees the National Videogame Museum (NVM) power up with Plug In and Play. Visitors can code a mini robot to navigate a miniature obstacle course, while a bespoke big screen version of the all time classic arcade game, Frogger, will be playable for the first time at the NVM, as part of a new suite of nature inspired videogames.
⏳ The NVM will be open every day between Saturday 26 October and Sunday 3 November between 10am and 1pm from 2pm and 5pm. Tickets can be purchased via the NVM’s website.
👻 To coincide with Halloween, a spooktacular game will also be making a special appearance in the NVM's arcade – The Real Ghostbusters.

The end of October is always a great time for new film releases and with four fantastic city centre cinemas to choose from, there's guaranteed to be plenty of choice when it comes to entertainment on the big screen.
Amongst the many seasonal highlights, Celluoid Screams aka the Sheffield Horror Film Festival returns to the Showroom Cinema between Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 October 2024. Tickets are always in high-demand with many screenings during the four-day extravaganza sold out.
