As the new king and queen consort take to the throne down at London’s Westminster Abbey, there’ll also be a party atmosphere up here in Sheffield over the extended Coronation Weekend.
You may choose to watch the historic occasion unfold on the big screen in the Peace Gardens, or you may prefer to head indoors for special screenings at Curzon Sheffield or Sheffield Cathedral. Or perhaps you're planning your own special way to mark the occassion.

A spectacular Coronation Concert will be performed at Windsor Castle. Iconic locations across the UK will be lit up using projections, lasers, drone displays and illuminations. The Concert will be streamed on the big screen in the Peace Gardens.

An extra Bank Holiday to mark the Coronation.
Cafes, bars and shops in the city centre are getting in on all the excitement of the historic occasion.

Sheffield city centre will be celebrating with all the action centred around a big screen located in the Peace Gardens.
The Lord Mayor's Coronation Party

Commemorate this year's big royal event in the Peace Gardens. There will be a big screen, food stalls and entertainment for all the family, including a screening of Paddington.
📅 Sunday 7 May | 3pm to 10pm
The Coronation Concert will be broadcast live from Windsor Castle on the big screen, with global music icons and contemporary stars performing for the historic occasion.
Before the concert starts, there'll be a free screening of Paddington 2 and The Kid Who Would Be King to continue the weekend's celebration, before the switch to the live broadcast of the King's Coronation Concert from Windsor.
