✨ Almost forgot this was the whole point ✨ it’s almost 8 years since we got the keys to this old factory. It had no roof, a whole flock of pigeons living in it, no windows, no big staircase connecting the floors, and I was in my 20’s, wearing a hard hat and staring at a massive courtyard and red brick building. It’s easy, within the chaos of running a business (or two 😅!) 7 days a week, to forget the dream within my childhood heart, and the fact I did actually make it happen. To champion loose leaf tea when the offering in the UK was so limited (2012!) and to provide a welcoming and friendly space for people to have some of their favourite moments, shared over nice food and great drinks. If you talk to almost any small business owner, they’ll tell you the struggles of daily imposter syndrome, but today it’s at bay as I embraced this moment of peace to set up, appreciate that my little acorn did infact grow, and I have the best tea in the city on tap.
