*** SALSA IN THE SQUARE – SUNDAY 26 MAY *** PHEW! - How lucky were we with the weather! It was difficult to know what to do with the ever changing weather forecast but in the end It was 100% the right call to hang in there and wait for the clouds to clear - another brilliant event and a fantastic second Salsa in the Square of 2024! The whole team/performers were once again incredible, with an atmosphere to match from a sea of smiling faces in what eventually turned out to be a festa in the sunshine 😇 A massive thank you to all that attended and special mentions include: 📢UNIÓN HABANERA our all-Cuban Salsa band, who flew in from Barcelona, truly a class act! 📢Our co-hosts and compere the wonderful RICHARD CHONGTHAM (RCDance) & the lovely DJ ANNA DE ORTE for all the energy and the work they do behind the scenes! 📢EMMA & CARLOS for the tantalising Tango performance 📢 LA FIERAS for their captivating Latin Fusion performance and crowd engaging animation! 📢Our fab 5 DJs, ROLY, EBO, ANNA, SABROSO, BRITANICO who together with our two amazing percussionists ARMANDO MURILLO & KENT ROACH kept the Barrio Latino party going all night long! 📢The amazing CUBANA STAFF for all their hard work, high energy and positive vibes in what was an extremely long but thoroughly enjoyable fiesta 📢RYAN & MATTHEW for their technical and musical mastery 📢The whole SECURITY TEAM that look after everyone which enables us to dance safely and deliver knockout shows and dancing! 📢Jacob Greatorex with LVL Visual for all of the videos and filming with the full after movie to follow! 📢Emma Lou Photography for capturing all of the fun on camera, the fruits of which we’ll be able to see on this page, in just a few days’ time. 📢Leopold Square and Havana Club for their sponsorship and continued support 📢Last but not least – EVERYONE THAT CAME and those who continue to come year after year!
